JetPunk User Ciphers and Puzzles

+7

The contest is now over (over). Congrats to the two people who solved a puzzle!

Imposing a Challenge

On JetPunk we have many puzzles and tests. First and foremost, quizzes. Obviously. However not even those who manage to escape from the testing and tribulations that we impose upon ourselves in the quizzing section may find refuge, for in the blog section, the testing has infected. We have made riddles, puzzles, and even….. math problems. Oh, the humanity!

However, as I cannot beat these puzzles, I have decided to join them. For my first blog, I will impose upon you ciphertext, which I shall task you with decoding. If by the end of the month, they are not solved, I will reveal the answers. Note: they are easy. I think.

You will first have ciphertext. Decode it using any means available (you know what's cheating and what's not), and find the source from which I got it from (a link or the name of a work is capital). And then, with a JetPunk twist, connect it to a JetPunker! Please follow this format (and comment each answer individually):

Puzzle Number: 17

Source: jetpunk.com

JetPunker: Quizmaster

Cipher Used: Ceasar Cipher

Whichever user solves the most puzzles will be granted……what do I have to grant? I have nothing material…..will be granted 5 blog dollars (equivalent to -.9 Afghan Afghanis), and the prize of internet clout. Yay. Also, your name will forever be emblazoned on this blog, along with your answer, as verbatim as can be, below the puzzle you solved, and at thenceforward, you may rest at peace knowing legions of future JetPunkers, in eons forward will murmur:

“Huh. [Your Name Here 🙂] did that puzzle.”

In honor of your work.
Legions of Future JetPunkers say similar

Sorry. Is the Plaintext meant to be a riddle leading to a username?

Level 59
May 21, 2023
Not a riddle exactly, just some text associated with it. You'll get closer if you search up the plaintext.

OK, and when you say to include the source of where you got it? Am I meant to hack your browser history or something?

Ok, the plaintext, which is the solved answer was a line from the book "The Murder on the Orient Express"

The charecter that says this line is Poirot.

it's not too hard when you know how. Although, for many years the Vigenere cipher was considered unbreakable.

The key is chiffre, standard cipher, the mode is repeat. I can't seem to find those letters. Try using https://cryptii.com/

Example: The plaintext says "is the second most visited website". The website is youtube....youtubeplayer. That is how you would connect it to a user.
