More likely because most of the people who take these quizzes are either American or European and they are more likely to know flags of countries nearer to them. Also, if my students are any indication, the average person who can recognize flags does so because they watch FIFA, and Taiwan has never done well competing in FIFA and they don't use the same flag as the country, either.

Cyprus was way too easy (for obvious reasons). Cambodia's pretty easy too cause you can recognize the Angkor ruins on the flag. So, I got Uruguay but not Germany... how did that happen again??

The Chile flag looks very similar to the Texas flag except for the blue doesn't reach the bottom of the flag like the Texas flag. Never realized it.
