Didn't do very well on this quiz. Was wondering if you can change or accept the actors name for Star Fleet Captain as well or instead of the charater name as that was a little frustrating. Thanks

You know that William Shatner was the actor on Star Trek, but don't know Captain Kirk? Then obviously you don't get the question right. Minor setback in life. Move on.

Can't accept Shatner because he's Canadian, not Iowan.

Thanks for the help. I added Kurt Warner, John Wayne, and Grant Wood. I would have added Glenn Miller but he didn't do much in Iowa except get born.

Probably should take off either Grant or Elijah Wood. Shouldn't have both.

Great quiz. I think Norman Borlaug is the most significant (and underappreciated) of these people, but a lot of great names.

No Bill Bryson? (He's the only Iowan I can actually name...)

It would have been easier to guess Borlaug if you had his picture at the top :)

Would it? I don't think he has a particularly famous face.

I knew who the one fictional person would be before I started looking at the clues. The non-fictional ones were harder.

If we are including fictional characters, one of the most famous has to be Cpl. Walter "Radar" O'Reilly from MASH. Ottumwa Iowa.
