So few got There Will Be Blood.. good flick.. maybe if the clue was "had his milkshake drunk by Daniel Day Lewis" more people would have gotten it right. Most obvious one I missed was Fargo... I guessed a few other movies with woodchipper deaths in them and then gave up.
I saw the movie and thought it was good, but it was too long ago for me to remember the bowling pin death. I agree the milkshake might have jogged my memory, but I'm not complaining. I should have gotten it.
I liked the Rocky clue, too. If I make a variant of this quiz I would do movies by absurd death and include My Name Is Khan.. in which a character dies because he is hit in the stomach with a soccer ball kicked by an adolescent boy.
Thought it took me so long to get around to completing it that I forgot Dr. Strangelove was on this one, too, and duplicated the answer. The rest are new, though.
Michael did not watch Fredo die: he is looking out the window contemplating, but cannot see the boat. It is implied that he HEARS the gunshot, but there is no evidence that Michael saw it happen. It was his plan and his doing, but he didn't personally witness it.
Whole lot of "OOOhhhhhh" on this one. Guess I don't remember movies that vividly. Great idea for a quiz, and good movie choices. Just wish the sequels weren't required-- godfather and rocky didn't take at first.
It still could be the Princess Bride. The trick was that the choice wasn't between the goblets, but between drinking and not. You should just take it as a type-in.
I thought FOR SURE "chose poorly, and drank from a fancy goblet" was going to refer to The Princess Bride! Never bet against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
Nope. Vizzini didn't "choose poorly". It didn't matter which cup he chose. Both were poisoned. Westley had built up a tolerance to the poison, so he was able to survive drinking the poison.
It's frustrating when you know the movie but not the english title - "Dr StrangeLOVE..." - in german "Dr Seltsam ...", which translates to "Dr Strange".
This deserves a part 2. "Eaten by T. Rex while sitting on the commode." "Stabbed slowly while being comforted by German soldier." "Shot by several arrows whilst protecting hobbits." "Incinerated by laser blast after definitely not shooting first, according to fans." "Laser grid." "Crushed by flying house (in colour)." "Baby alien bursts out of chest after eating the Space Special." or "Baby alien burst out of chest, but not after eating the space special."
That cup wasn't fancy. Nor is anyone really likely to refer to it as a "grail," that word now being pretty much exclusively reserved for the Holy Grail (or, in this case, its imitators) or as a metaphor for a highly sought-after item. And Vizzini didn't choose poorly; both goblets were poisoned, so there was no actual "choice." In Last Crusade, the guy actually did have have a choice and had the potential to choose correctly, but didn't.
Movies by Absurd Death

And my first thought was the copier in Office Space.
It is part of the title and should be added http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057012/
one of my favorite movies is Princess Bride
Fargo was an easy one.
Princess Bride never crossed my mind during the Indiana Jones one.
Great quiz.
"Decapitated by a rabbit, with a vicious streak a mile wide".
Great movie btw...
from a fancy grail"
This could also be The Princess Bride.
