I disagree whole-heartedly Quizmaster. This is an English Quiz site, and in the English language, the sport in question is in fact called "Association football" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_football Type "Soccer" into Wikipedia, and you will be redirected here. The sport is NICKNAMED "Football", or "Soccer" depending on the part of the world you are from. Therefore, "Football" should 100% logically be a correct solution just as much as, if not more so than "Soccer" is.

Jan 24, 2014
Semi-serious reply here. Lance Armstrong was by far the best cyclist of his era. He was using all the same drugs as his rivals. He was just better at it. Unfortunately, cycling was then (and probably still is) a sport that is impossible for a non drug-user to compete in at that level. I personally don't have a big problem with Lance Armstrong, but I never held him up as some great hero either.
+1
level 64
Jan 25, 2014
I don't know which part was the "non-serious" in your reply, but you do have a point. I can tell you though that the "by far" part is a big misconception. Lance participated on at the Tour every year (because that's the only race Americans know and care about) and did not run any other race of the season (thus minimizing the chances of getting caught). My comment wan not meant to be very serious either, but I can assure you that, outside of this country (and I am a fan of cycling) no one ever considered him to be "by far the best" or much less a hero. How about this: change the sport from cycling to "anabolic use", haha!

That's a bit easy, isn't it, to dismiss the guy's faults because some others probably have used drugs as well. You really shouldn't have that asshole under "sports".

A non-doped Lance Armstrong wouldn't even have finished any race, because everyone else (who seriously WAS doped) would have been 2hrs faster each stage. Also, for the cycling purists ... the cheater you know is no different than the cheater you don't know. Both are cheaters.
