New York's southern border is equal to Ohio's northernmost point. Erie County, PA goes about 19 miles further north than Ohio's northernmost point.

I was surprised the curve bends the way it does (considering a circle around Moscow), but that says a lot about how our map projections distort the curvature of the earth.
