Probably because US maps usually show it floating off to the west, unattached to anything....I almost forgot it, too!

Read the directions! Pennsylvania and Ohio have water but neither a land nor a bridge (cf. Michigan) border with Canada.

But maybe read the quiz description: "There are 11 U.S. states that share a land or bridge border with Canada." Ohio and PA: no land borders, no bridges.

Well, I am all for building a bridge from Erie to Ontario and then building a wall to block it, right in the middle. Paid for by Canada and built by free Mexican labour. Who's with me?

Yes, exactly where is Alaska? - If it is, in fact, geographically between Washington State and Canada, then why isn't it put there on any of the jet punk quizzes, but is delegated to the bottom of the map along with Hawaii.

It's to the West of Canada, separated from the rest of the USA. It is moved to the bottom on quizzes because if it was in its proper place it wouldn't fit in the map.
