The numbers are the number of countries in each continent. And I think the letters stand for Guyana, Vanuatu, Jamaica, Denmark, Oman and Kenya.

Mushroomsteve has solved the puzzle (so quickly). As he stated, the numbers are the number of countries in each continent e.g. Africa 54. The letters with the numbers signify the only country in each continent starting with that letter, e.g. Denmark is the only country starting with D in Europe giving us 45D.
