Developed to fight the trident wielding gladiators, their helmet was smooth and covered their entire face except for their eyes.
Secutor
Also made to mirror a Greek soldier, they had a Thracian curved sword, and were typically emblazoned with the crest of a griffon.

A rare gladiator that fought with a spear and a small round shield

Instead of fighting, they either hunted or did tricks with animals such as putting a hand in a lions mouth or having an elephant walk a tightrope
