It is the truth about the embassy. But about the recognition, it is hard to say. For sure the countries which recognized Kosovo as independent state did that because of their interest. I doubt they believe this country should even exist. But it is the game of big players. That how this world works.
Can you say the same about the situation in Ukraine? Roughly speaking, either take off the cross or put on your pants. Or do you think that the bombing of the USA &Co is always justified and brings only good, and the Kosovo Albanians are exceptionally immaculate and their hands are not in blood? Or do people's lives have no value, and the country does not have the right to sovereignty and non-interference from major powers?
Your question only raises more questions. Did you want to hit Serbia with an atomic bomb instead of depleted uranium? Or is it because of Srebrenica to enter Serbia completely and kill not a couple of thousand Serbs and Montenegrins with bombs, but break into each of them in the house, make them repent for Srebrenica and then kill? Or is that not enough too? What would you like to do with the Bosniaks and Croats who committed comparable acts of cruelty, if not more senior ones, which the world media did not cover? Are you ready to take a couple of blows to your house for the Songmi massacre?
An interesting question. It is amazing how they can set nations against one another, foment war up to genocide, and then accuse the parties of unjustified aggression.
@Kingsfisher And then come to their devastated lands and take all the factories, mines, companies of all kind. To the all sides, friends or foes, it does not matter. Modern colonialism. Small fees make people go to the West, to work in their companies.
you know you failed as a human species when you re serbian and say its a good thing these cuck states bombed your people. how brain dead you have to be
Who said that? Maybe this is the quiz which shows a fact about how the every single of those 13 powerful governments were afraid to sent only their soldiers to face Serbian soldiers. A country that had the same number of citizens like Paris.
Why would you risk higher casualties when a bombing works as deterrence? Why didn't Japan just send their soldiers over to the US instead of facing American soldiers?
@Ampersandwich You have your point. It is a usual tactic that gives results. And we lost at the end. But I am still glad that we are riskier than many biggest countries in the world where the NATO footsoldiers came to fight. They never come here until peace treaty.
And about the genocide. More and more Kosovo Albanians are dying every day of depleted uranium the NATO dropped on Kosovo to defend them. Their children were born ill. The solution was the EU visa liberalization from January 1st 2024. So they can go outside of Kosovo. Ofcourse never to return, because they can not afford to live desently, to get cure for them and their children. Small land with many resorces will be empty.
It's sad. Kosovo already looks like a black hole in Europe, and now the population will leave en masse, repeating the fate of Bulgaria and Albania. Almost everyone will leave and not come back. Was it worth turning this region into such a ghetto?
No it was not. We lived together for centuries because we knew how to live like that. Problems are always there when some other side come to show us that we actually do not know. Divide et impera.
I mean, should the West, ostensibly for the sake of the "right to self-determination", forcibly separate Kosovo from Serbia and turn it into a poor ghetto with thriving smuggling and instability. I do not see Serbia's fault in what has become of Kosovo now, even on the contrary, I agree with you about divide et empera
Kosovo is full of the NATO troops, and it is probably the biggest warehouse of heroin in Europe. From there they are distributing it everywhere in Europe. Money, money, money.
Acting like a victim is one of the things Serbia is extremely good at. Denouncing Milosevic, Seselj, Mihajlovic, accepting the fact that you were the aggresor in the 90s and getting rid of the idea of "The Great Serbia"; those are the things that will move Serbia towards a stable and brighter future and things that will bring peace to the region.
Being stuck in the past and living on former glory will only lead to more pain for everyone in the Balkans
Well, in 90s Croatia also planned to create something like 'Great Croatia' while participating in partition of Bosnia. Not to mention WWII and Ante Pavelic who collaborated with Nazis and killed thousands of Serbs and Jews. You should not act like you're the holiest one.
Hundreds of thousands of Serbs. Concentration camps for children. We still do not know how many mass graves there are. No one searched it like it should be done, because communists did not want to.
I'm sorry, but you shouldn't point out to the Serbs that they are pretending to be a victim while being a Croat. They can remind you a lot about Ustaše and Srbosjeks...
About 1990's, just the same, the Serbs got more than the rest. Their generals were tried more than others at the tribunal for Yugoslavia (in fact, it was a tribunal against Serbia, and the rest were tried for show), brought to poverty by international sanctions, bombed with uranium and branded "the main nationalists of Europe", which they diligently support. And Croats, Bosniaks, Kosovars were lucky (no, in fact they were just on the "right" side) — no one knows your crimes, because they did not even try to highlight them, and you successfully pretended to be victims, although each of the Yugoslav peoples distinguished themselves. You were able to break up then, and now, apparently, it is working.
Everything that has just been said proves the original point. You all immediately brought up Croatian atrocities, instead of acknowledging Serbian ones. You all just tried to prove that Serbia was the victim of everything, even though they have tried to subjugate every group around them throughout their existence.
@AMJThreeGreatMen Read all posts. I wrote that we all (countries or governments) have blood on our hands, without exception. The USA is of course the champion. Congradulations!
You've been honing your manipulation of facts for a long time, haven't you?
Step one: accuse the Serbs of crimes and declare that they are pretending to be victims
Step two: to hear from the Serbs disagreement and reminders that you yourself have a log in your eye
Step three: to say that they are justifying themselves again, which means that you are right, and proudly present yourself as the winner.
A very bad attempt. You accuse others of being wolves in sheep's clothing, so why should they agree with you? Moreover, as I said, Serbia has already paid in full, while Croatia has gone unpunished.

This quiz is a fact. Nothing more, nothing less.
And you, my Croatian frend, what do you think? Should we go more back to the past and speak about massacres of Serbs in your country?
Or maybe do you think that other countries are angels compering to mine?
They are not. It is in human nature. Everibody has blood on their hands. Even your countrymen. Clean your own backyard.
