Because Dominica was named after the day Sunday in Spanish because it was discovered on a Sunday

I don't think the US should be here, especially when the part that actually derives from a name (America) is left out. Also, you forgot the Solomon Islands. Nice quiz idea though!

I think the US counts because in native-English speaking countries it's very common to refer to it as 'America'

Also the Solomon Islands were named after a legendary figure from the Bible, not a proven real person

Citing Wikipedia: "As for Solomon himself, scholars on both the maximalist and minimalist sides of the spectrum of biblical archeology generally agree Solomon himself probably existed." Of course, you still don't need to add the Solomon Islands if you believe they shouldn't be in the quiz.

By the way, fun fact, I find that the use of "America" to refer to the United States is more common in non-English speaking countries than it is in the English speaking world. Italy and Japan basically only use "America"
