Tabaristan isn't a province of Iran as far as I can tell, it's just a region and Kohistan is a district of KPK province in Pakistan, I guess I should specify that only first-level subdivisions count

Uyghuristan and Kurdistan are not first-level subdivisions so much as proposed states, so I'm not sure if that's quite the specification you want to go with.

Tabaristan *used* to be a real administrative region, and it is probably impossible to name all historic -stans, so maybe there's something there that would be more apt.

Also you probably should put a note about one of the -stans being a -sthan, for the sake of clarity.
