Qatar has over a million people; Cyprus has fewer. If the Mediterranean Sea weren't there, Africa and Eurasia would be connected. Seychelles, Sao Tome and Principe, Comoros, Mauritius, Cape Verde, Gambia, and Swaziland are all smaller than the African countries you have listed.

thanks for the input, already updated. regarding african countries: it was implied that only mainland countries were asked for.

Could you accept (1) Red and Mediterranean Seas for dividing Africa and Eurasia, and (2) Fez with a z? That's how I typically see Fez.

fes/z updated! the red and mediterranean seas do not divide landmasses, the continents are connected by land bridges still.

Cyprus is primarily European. It's in the EU.
