This was a tough one. Several that had good alternatives that just weren't quite as good as the right answer (e.g., procedure for plan). I'd get stuck on the wrong, almost correct answer.

I don’t purposely design these quizzes to be misleading or confusing, of course.

Creating them constantly makes me think, though, about how we learn words. In most cases (especially as a child) it is not by learning their definitions. It is by repeatedly hearing/seeing them used in context and intuiting what they mean and when it is appropriate to use them. I am constantly struck by how complex a definition for a basic word can sometimes be.

Re: procedure vs. plan, I would expect one element of the definition for “procedure” to be its repeatability. I think of plans as being executed once, but procedures as being designed to be executed over and over.
