Famous (and Infamous) Typefaces

Typefaces have been around ever since the invention of the printing press in the fifteenth century. The development of typefaces (and fonts) exploded with the digital age. While some have endured in their appeal, others have come to be loathed, perhaps primarily due to their overuse. Below are examples of fifteen famous (and infamous) typefaces – how many can you name?

Fantastic quiz.

There are enough common typefaces to do a series, I'm sure; but I'd love to see the inclusion of Donald Knuth's Computer Modern, since that's what academic papers look like to me and it's pretty widely used, even if it doesn't show up in Microsoft Word's font picker.
