Top 2500 Cities According to SimpleMaps with a Map
Can you name the 2500 (yeah you heard it right) most populous cities in the world according to SimpleMaps, a website that collects populations on cities?
This quiz has a lot of answers, so there is going to be lag!
Shijianzhuang -> Shijiazhuang, Shenyeng -> Shenyang. Tel Aviv, Dammam, Yangon etc. should be accepted. Queens/Brooklyn/Manhattan/Bronx shouldn't be separate answers from New York City. Anyway this is an impossible quiz to make so great effort.
A marathon. Wonderful to see my home town, Gibraltar in the list - but to get it there I fear you have multiplied its true population (of 34,000) by 5.5.
I am going off the list I have for the populations and to determine what makes it on the list. I would fix it but then I would have to fix everything else, and I don't feel like wasting the entire day! Thanks for your feedback though.
Great quiz. Simplemaps is a good website overall but sometimes the numbers can be inaccurate/outdated but I know that you don't want to waste your time looking through the populations. Most of it is accurate though - so great work Ninja!
It looks like it's going by city proper, since you have both Dallas and Fort Worth, and most of the populations are way too low to be metro. But then New York City is listed as 19,345,922, when the city proper population is 8,804,190. Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx -- the five boroughs of New York -- are all listed separately, so they're all double counted. You've got burrough, city, and metropolitan populations all mixed together.
This quiz has the city proper population for Toronto and the metro population for Montreal. Mixing metro and city proper populations is ridiculous.
Also, the notion that a city only needs a population of 152,194 to be in the top 2500 is laughable. Were that the case, from Canada alone, you're missing Mississauga, Brampton, Surrey, Laval, Markham, Vaughan, Gatineau, Longueil, Burnaby, Oakville, Richmond, Richmond Hill, Burlington, Sherbrooke, and Abbotsford.
Pick a better source for your quiz data. Most people use citypopulation.de.
That's pretty presumptuous of you to claim that I made the Greek genocide up. I guess you just thought it was safe to assume that if you type Greek genocide on google nothing will come up because of your own Turkish cultural biases hey? Why are so many Turks including you so insecure about what your people have done that you have to lie, deflect, and look for excuses to rationalize the fact that they commited genocide?
Next time make sure you don't allow your emotions to overtake your sense of logic so you don't make stupid ignorant comments like that.
The spellings should be all in English if the quiz is in English. Nuremberg, Ghent, Antwerp or The Hague should be accepted, as they are the common English spellings for those cities. There are many more examples.
Edit:
Not only Russian, but Belarussian too! That's really disturbing

But, I don't see a first post by Shadwyvern for someone to respond to.
