Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland and held British citizenship until 1882, at which time he became an American citizen. He did live and work in Canada, but there was no such thing as Canadian citizenship until 1910. He was neither born in Canada nor a Canadian citizen. At best, he was a British subject living in Canada. Surely a better example can be found for that clue.
