Isn't it hydrophobia, not hygrophobia? And theaters.. spelled the most common way. I thought Dikephobia and Homophobia were kind of the same thing but thanks for clearing that up.
Good questions - Hygrophobia is the fear of liquids as a whole but hydrophobia is the fear of specifically water, and yes I should have thought about spelling theatres the American way too. That made me chuckle, dikephobia is the fear of justice while homophobia is the fear of anything homosexual really. Hope this helps. :)
ah. had no clue and hygro- as a suffix for liquids. Really this is mostly just a quiz of one's understanding of the Latin/Greek origins of these words, since I'd say the overwhelming majority of these phobias nobody has ever heard of.
I think the answer for "lutraphobia" is the rarest correct answer I've gotten on any quiz here. Awesome! I can think of two not-too-unknown phobias to add (there's always someone who wants to add stuff): coprophobia and haphephobia.
