Countries Excluded from Regional Organisations

Regional organisations are groupings of countries within the same geographical area to promote their mutual interests, growth and development. However, a number of such organisations have excluded certain countries even though they fall within their geographical scope, due to a variety of reasons from human rights violations to economic concerns. Can you name all such countries?

This includes countries whose membership has been suspended.

If countries are willingly not part of organisations, or if their application is being considered favourably, they have not been included.

This list is only for regional organisations, not political alliances (e.g. NATO or SCO).
