It's crazy that the Celtics alone have more titles than all the Californian teams. They also more than double the Texan teams.

The 60's were good to the Celtics.

The Kings and Clippers have never won, so it's really just about beating out the Lakers and Warriors combined, but even that is impressive given the Lakers' long history of success. If you include the championships that the Lakers won before moving to LA, they are only one behind the Celtics all-time total, which means that adding the Warriors' championships (four, I think?) would put the California teams ahead. The Lakers moved to LA in the 1970's, after the Celtics had won most of their championships. Since the Lakers moved, they have plenty more than Boston has.

I have not expected that New England is the catholic hotspot of the USA. Should not highly correlate the percentage of hispanics and the percentage of catholics?!

I suspect you haven't been around too many New England cities if you don't think Irish, Italian, and/or Hispanic immigrants have had a formative role in urban demographics.

I obviously underestimated the impact and distribution of the catholic, Europe-based immigrants.

Well it is literally called New ENGLAND, but mostly it's because it was part of the original 13 colonies of the UK so it was more heavily influenced by that then states like California, which were part of the US later than states like New York. Idk about New Mexico though, probably something to do with the Spanish mission system?

I guess the rank for the date of statehood should be 5 and not 4?

It was tight, but I was able to squeeze in Washington computer programmers at the last second for a 5/5.

There are several others; just search "states that beat" and you'll find them. : )

That computer programmer wages one seemed especially obscure. Like I know enough about NBA titles to make a few educated guesses, but I do not have a good sense for the rank ordering of wages among states for arbitrary professions.

Not especially arbitrary. Many competitive tech companies in the northwest. As well as other prosperous corporations.
