Bother by Stone Sour/Corey Taylor lyrics quiz

All the way back in 2002, Corey Taylor, of Slipknot and Stone Sour fame, released a single called Bother that was released on the soundtrack to Sam Raimi's live-action Spider-Man movie from that same year. Corey later had the song re-credited to Stone Sour and it was released on their self-titled debut album (also in 2002). It would go on to be Stone Sour's first single to reach Gold status with the RIAA. To this day, it still holds an endearing spot amongst fans of Corey's work and in his setlists both as a solo artist and with Stone Sour. Think you could sing along with Corey if you saw it live in concert? Well, how about live in quiz format?

Bother by Stone Sour/Corey Taylor
Wish I was too dead to cry
My self-affliction fades
Stones to throw at my creator
Masochists to which I cater

(chorus)
You don't need to bother
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

Wish I was too dead to care
If, indeed, I cared at all
Never had a voice to protest
So you fed me shit to digest

I wish I had a reason
My flaws are open season
For this, I gave up trying
One good turn deserves my dying

(chorus repeats)

Wish I'd died instead of lived
A zombie hides my face
Shell forgotten with its memories
Diaries left with cryptic entries

You don't need to bother
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on
I'll never live down my deceit
