Country Logic Puzzle by Scambigol #23

The 25 empty cells at the bottom of the quiz must be filled. Each cell contains either a country or a world capital. Capitals and country names are based on featured JetPunk quizzes. Answers can be placed in the A-Z grid at the top and later in the answers grid at the bottom.

You shouldn't type an answer if you are not 100% sure it goes there, no guessing!!

Read carefully all instructions

A. DEFINITIONS:
1) Capital borders "follow" country borders (eg Ottawa borders USA; London borders Dublin); similarly a capital is "landlocked" if its country is
2) Borders on territories are not considered, dubious borders are not considered (France-Brazil and Morocco-Spain are considered, France-Netherlands UK-Spain Canada-Denmark aren't, UAE-Qatar and India-Sri Lanka aren't)

B. RULES:
1) Each answer has a different initial letter
2) If a country is an answer its capital isn't one, and viceversa
3) When you look at answers in the same row:
a: adjacent answers border on the world map
b: non-adjacent answers do not border on the world map
4) The cell with the brown border contains the only landlocked answer of the quiz
5) Answers with a yellow border aren't longer than 8 letters
6) The arrow above the first column indicates that its answers are in alphabetical order (either ascending or descending)
7) The >> above the third column indicates that no answer has fewer letters than the one above it

Hints for getting started:
0) Answers begin with 25 different letters, there are no countries or capitals that being with X
1) In the world map:
  a: orange indicates landlocked countries
b: grey indicates isolated countries (ie that can't reach continents crossing land borders) and ones with names of capital and country longer than 8
c: yellow indicates that both country and capital are possible yellow box answers (ie coastal non-isolated countries/capitals having length 8 letters at most); note that South Africa is yellow because 2 capitals are possible yellow box answers
d: light yellow indicates only one of capital and country is a possible yellow box answer
2) In the A-Z section the numbers below each letter show how many non-isolated non-landlocked capitals/countries begin with that letter
3) Letters with a yellow background have one possible landlocked answer; orange indicates there are two; brown indicates there are more than two
4) When you know an answer is there but you don't know where to place it in the grid you can write it in the 'A-Z' section
Please don't cheat by guess and check!

Assuming I haven't made mistakes and haven't missed shortcuts this one is considerably harder than the previous ones so I will probably add 'easier version' hints at some point

I definitely need some hints/places to get started. I was able to get W Q and B but I'm not sure how to narrow down the other letters!

Really difficult but very pleasant at the same time... it took me several hours! Thank you!
