The word "Great Britain" refers to the island of Great Britain, on which England, Scotland and Wales are located. This doesn't include Northern Ireland, which is on the island of Ireland along with the Republic of Ireland

Ok! I missunderstood the clues given. It says Main Continent (number), but the number is the total of countries that have that word, not only in the 'main continent'. Bit confusing I think.

I like it. My only thought/suggestion: combine state/states. I understand it's exactly as it is written in the official name, but it's not a different word, just pluralized. It doesn't alter the dynamic of the quiz (IMO), but would reduce instances of typing in "states" and getting credit for "state" and forgetting to type in "states" again.

I really liked this quiz, too, and was harder than it seemed at first. I also typed state and assumed it would cover the plural as well. That's what I get for assuming.

I'm going to found a country and call it The New Independent Federal Democratic People's Republic of United Socialist Islamic Arab States.

But because people will probably find that long and confusing, we will also have a short name: "Kyrgyzstan."

For those of you who haven't heard of this country, we are not fully recognised yet but claim the Hawaiian Islands; all of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan; Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Papua New Guinea (particularly the areas of these supposed countries with most Catholics); China (including Taiwan) and both the Democratic Republic and Republic of the Congo; Ireland and a few surrounding islands including Great Britain; the Korean Peninsula; and South Sudan.
