He then evades capture with the help of his onboard computer and the two lightsaber-like laser beams that shoot out of the sides of his ship. This scene is epic and totally Star Warsy in a very esoteric Star Wars nerd way. The destroyer is original Star Wars artist Colin Cantwell's original star destroyer design, and OG nerds were besides themselves to finally see it show up onscreen.

The rebel fleet comes out of hyperspace right in the midst of a fleet of imperial star destroyers. Red Leader and Gold Leader are both there leading their squadrons, just like in A New Hope! And, the look on the faces of the imperials is priceless. Better put down your TPS reports, fellas, the war is starting right now and right here! This scene is so totally Star Warsy.

A lone Jedi arrives on Moff Gideon's star destroyer and single-handedly takes out a squad of black trooper droids that had cornered the heroes on the bridge. Then, the Jedi reveals himself, and it's Luke! That was so totally Star Wars!

Imperial walkers attack the base on Hoth. It is a big battle like we had never seen before on film. Those walkers were both totally impractical as a weapon of war, and also terrifying. They are so quintessentially Star Warsy.

Luke and Vader square off one last time on the Death Star, while the Emperor watches. Then, Luke throws away his lightsaber and tells the Emperor he will never Join the dark side. This whole scene is peak Star Wars, right in the Star Wars feels.

The camera pans down to Tatooine and its moons, then the Tanitve IV blockade runner races overhead. It is being pursued by a star destroyer, which also comes into view from the top of the screen. It just keeps going and going until finally the massive rocket engines flood the screen. In this one shot we learn everything we need to know going forward. The good guys are small and helpless, and the bad guys are massive and well-armed. It is so perfectly Star Wars.
A New Hope

They Empire knows they are coming, and jamming their sensors. Lando and Nien Numb figure it out and tell the fleet to pull off the attack. Then, a fleet of star destroyers comes out of light speed behind them! It's a trap! Classic Star Wars.

The Millenium Falcon escapes the empire by fleeing into an asteroid field. The epic chase is still one of the Star Warsiest Star Wars scenes ever.

The door opens up, and Darth Maul is standing behind it. Then, he shrugs off his cloak and pulls out a lightsaber with, wait for it, two blades! Both Obiwan and Quigon Jin pull out their lightsabers and we get our first earful of the amazing Duel of Fates by John Williams. Man, that is some Star Warsy Star Wars right there.

The vile gangster Jabba the Hutt tries to throw our heroes into a sarlaac pit, but Luke reveals his new improved Jedi powers and becomes a one-man slaughterhouse against the horde of alien bad guys. This scene has everything! It's got aliens (including Jabba), awesome lightsaber action, and even Boba Fett using his jetpack. That is one Star Warsy scene.

Luke and Darth have the third and last part of a lightsaber duel in Cloud City on a precarious bit of machinery that dangles out over the Cloud City gas mine shaft, a seemingly bottomless pit. In the fight, Vader cuts off Luke's hand and reveals who he really is. The whole scene is just so quintessentially Star Wars. Almost the Star Warsiest Star Wars scene to ever Star Wars. Almost.

The rebels got the secret plans, but they are trapped in a hallway with a door that is being held shut by the force. Darth Vader appears at the other end of the hall, ignites his lightsaber, and proceeds to hack, force choke, and force throw every member of the squad. But, they are able to pass the stolen plans through a crack in the door before they are all killed, getting them onto the Tantive IV blockade runner. The ship is able to launch and fly them to safety. And then, Captain Antilles hands the plans to Princess Leia, asking here what it is. Her answer? "Hope." The Star Warsiest Star Wars scene that ever Star Warsed.
