A JetPunk Collection: Friend Requests

In real life, I'm a collectionner. I have already mentioned my handheld consoles collection in my interview. I also have some more classical ones, like with my coins, or even my chessboards one... although I am awful at chess and play only rarely, mostly with the members of my family. You understood it: collections are for me an important hobby. And what is another of my passions? JetPunk, obviously!

To combine both of them, I have decided to present my only JetPunk collection: my original and unusual friend requests. Each of them is accompanied with a short description, to understand the context and even for some of them the funny aspect of the request. As you have probably already understood, this blog in't as elaborted as habitully. It's just that the first of April was a perfect occasion for me to talk about it. Credit to muskox for the idea.

N.B.: Sorry for the bad quality of the screenshots. The dimensions of the friend requests didn't really help. If you encounter difficulties in reading some of them, feel free to ask in comment for more details.

The first one is probably not the funniest one, but I truly laugh when I received this one. I was thinking for true that there was an error and that the name of the inviter wasn't loading. The interesting element in this one is actually more the pseudonym of the user concered than the invite itself, but it's even funnier with an invite.

For now, you are probably wondering for the wrong or weird thing in this one. Nothing immediately, but a couple weeks later...

This one is in my opinion the most hilarious. First of all, I was laughing about receiving two invites from the same user (that's only possible because the first one got banned). But the content of the message itself is ridiculous: for those who don't know, a WITJ is a game where you have to guess who is the mysterious JetPunker with the given clues. And the winner of the game is rewarded by being interviewed. So by being the answer, Yako would be able to win very easily. The question is exactly the same as "Can I be the next interviewee?". Sorry, I am not that stupid yet.

This one is just to show that I have three friend requests by the same user in my collection. Can I be proud of it? Probably a unique piece...

When I received this one, I was quite happy. You probably know that, but I am a Harry Potter fan. And this invite was sent when I was publishing daily my Focus quizzes about Harry Potter characters (one each day during the first year). Fumseck being the French name of Fawkes, I easily guessed that this invite was sent because of my series. But that's not truly the interesting point of this one.

The message of the invite itself is way more interesting. "Allez l'OM." means "Go OM.", OM refering to Olympique de Marseille, the famous French football club. And the funny thing about it is that it was sent on a day when the OM had to play a match in the evening. Match... which was lost.

Once again, a bit of context is needed. When MD joined the server, he sent JetPunk friend requests to most of its active members, including me. But at that time, I didn't know him, and I only accept invites from users that I know at least a little bit. When he learnt that, MD decided that he would achieve to be friend with me on our favourite website. One day, I was talking about the takes that I earned thanks to Nauru, and particularly about this specific quiz. MD was reading my messages, and decided that finishing the quiz I was evokating would legitimate his entry in my friend list. I really liked the attention, but wasn't able to accept a that beautiful request. Nevertheless, MD finally reached  his goal: I accepteda request of his second account.

This last invite is definitely my favourite one. At this time, I was only accepting friend requests from French users (don't ask why, I don't know myself, but I only did that during a few weeks, after the implementation of the friend feature). I mentioned this choice on the English Discord server, and after reading this, Adri decided that he would achieve to be my friend on JetPunk. So he sent this, and I laughed a lot. I wasn't able to accept for a simple reason: I wanted to keep this masterpiece.

That's maybe a bit difficult to understand for non-French-speaking readers, so let me explain why it is that funny. This blog is voluntarily ridiculous, with many typos and some absurd tries of persuasion ("I live in... uh... bor... bordeaux, oui, à bordeuax. Bordeaux this is beautiful with the buildings and the streets."). Definitely something that I keep in mind for a long. Thank you for this, my dear Adri!

I hope you enjoyed this little blog, which is much less developed than habitually. The first of April was a perfect occasion to publish it, but be sure that I received all the friend invites mentioned in this blog for true.

I would also like to add two little points. First, if you read this blog and are mentioned in it, please don't take badly what I wrote about your invite(s). It's actually me who have to thank you for (involuntarily) providing content. And then, if I am not friend with you on JetPunk yet, please, don't voluntarily send me an invite to "enter in my collection". The amazing thing about the ones presented above is that they have been done as true invites, so please don't break this harmony.
