Another race of the 2020 season gone, and another mad race. If you had told me in pre season testing that Alpha Tauri and Racing Point would both have a race win this season, I would have laughed. And yet it happened. However, with the incredible amount of joy I felt as I saw Perez on the top step of the podium, I feel so sad for Russell. Just like Leclerc in Bahrain last year, Russell has the win so cruelly taken away from him. On the bright side he did earn his first ever points which he can still be extremely proud of. He has also proved to the world that he is ready for the top teams in F1. He is seriously one of the best drivers of the modern era and honestly, he is proving to be faster than everyone on the current grid, The current grid being the one without Hamilton. If Russell and Hamilton where in the same car, I still think Hamilton would win but I also think this would largely be down to team orders and Russell not wanting to make anyone in the team angry so he doesn't lose his seat. Anyway, we should expect a lot of great things to come from the young Briton.
Moving on to Sergio Perez. How can this man not have a drive for next year? He surly has to get that Red Bull seat for 2021 right? he has managed to prove time and time again this season that he is a great driver. he should have had 4 podiums in the last 4 races and he now has a race win to his name and yet he is still without a contract from the end of the year. I feel he would be great fro Red Bull as they try to work they way back to the front of the grid.
