The Official Title for Venom 3…
The official title for the final movie in the Venom trilogy is “Venom: The Last Dance.” I’m assuming this title is implying that this movie will round out the Venom franchise as a whole. I feel like Venom is the only part of the SSU people care about, so if that is gone, we may see the SSU crash down harder than ever before. Venom: The Last Dance has also changed its release date from November 8 to October 25.
Teen Titans GO! to the DCU
For an entire year, the only knowledge we've had for movies planned for the new DCU were Superman, The Authority, The Brave and the Bold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and Swamp Thing. Now we know of a sixth film being added to the slate, that being Teen Titans. It is unknown if this installment in the DC Universe franchise will be a part of Chapter One: Gods & Monsters, but I am stoked knowing this team will be a part of Gunn's DCU (and knowing Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle may be a part of the team).
The Penguin Trailer Thoughts
I mean, I know this trailer will be appealing to other people, but I'm not personally super hooked. I don't have Max either, so I'm not quite sure how I'll be able to watch this. Nonetheless, it really looks like Matt Reeves is doing a good job at expanding this BatVerse of his, and I hope he continues to do so because The Batman was very good. The Penguin will be out in Fall of this year.
The Batman Part II Delay
As of last month, The Batman Part II has been delayed from October 3, 2025 to October 2, 2026. I don't find this too shocking- for how grand-scale the last movie was, I don't find it odd that they are wanting as much time as possible to flesh out a really captivating plotline. It's gonna take a lot to top the first film, but I think it's possible knowing the direction they seem to be headed in.
IT'S MORBIN TIME on Disney+
You know it! Morbius is now streaming on Disney+. With this film being added to the streaming service, that makes nine Sony Spider-Man films available. Sony and Disney made an agreement several years ago which allowed Disney+ to stream their Spider-Man properties. It took over a year for this agreement to come into effect. And now within the last year, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Venom, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Morbius have all made their way to the platform. Yet to be added are Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Madame Web.
It's also the second anniversary of the release of this film today (April 1), so that's cool.
Thunderbolts is Filming!
Looks like all the decisions in pre-production have been settled, because this month marked the beginning of filming for the project. Florence Pugh teased the film in a video of her in her costume, walking around set. However, with the announcement of filming also came a slight change in the title of the movie. Marvel refers to the film as “Thunderbolts*” with an asterisk. I’m not sure what this change is for, or if it maybe means there will eventually be a title change? I really don’t know. Nonetheless, Thunderbolts* will be in theaters on May 2, 2025.
Thank You!

Granted, the last two films for both franchises are known to not be good. I haven’t personally seen the classic Superman franchise, but I have seen the Batman one. Like I said before, I’m definitely more into Marvel, but getting into DC just gives you something else to look forward to.
Great post as always! (:
