Introduction to US Viewer Voting

Hi! Gekko0923 here. I'm starting a new series called "U.S. States Viewer Voting." In this series, you viewers vote for a state based on the voting mode. There are several voting modes, including voting to eliminate and voting to save, among others. Depending on the voting mode, one of the states will be eliminated. The states have been divided into 5 groups of 10 based on alphabetical order. Group 2, consisting of 10 states, is up for elimination. The voting mode for this particular vote is VOTE TO ELIMINATE.

Last time...

In Episode 3 of this series, Group 3, consisting of the first ten states alphabetically, was up for elimination. Viewers ranked each state from best to worst. Let's see the average rank for each state. Because this is a double elimination, the two states with the lowest average ranking are out.

Vote #3 stats: A total of 11 viewers cast 11 votes!

Okay, everyone. Let's address the elephant in the room. Mississippi is the first state eliminated, with a sad average ranking of 9.27. 8 of the 11 voters chose to rank Mississippi as last place, which means that it didn't really have a chance. However, this is a double elimination. One of the remaining nine states will be eliminated as well.

The first state safe, with an average rank of 3.27, is Minnesota!

7 out of the 11 voters ranked Minnesota in the top 3, and no one ranked it out of their top six.

With an average rank of 3.73, Massachusetts is also safe! Two people ranked Massachusetts first!

Montana is the third state safe with an average rank of 3.82! Three people ranked Montana first!

The following are also safe:

Michigan (4.18)

New Hampshire (5.27)

Nevada (5.36)

This means that we are down to Missouri, Nebraska, and New Jersey. The state who avoided the bottom two, with an average rank of 5.91, is...

New Jersey!

Missouri and Nebraska, you are the bottom two. One of you will be the fourth state eliminated.

One state got an average rank of 6.82, while the other got 7.36.

Without further ado, the last state safe is:

...

...

...

...

...

Missouri!

Mississippi and Nebraska are the third and fourth states eliminated respectively. Mississippi gets 48th place, and Nebraska gets 47th place. Goodbye to the state of blues music and the state of corn.

You will be missed, I hope.

I liked having this style of voting. We'll do it again soon.

2. Be careful about how you vote.

Make sure you type the two letters in square brackets. Here are some examples of votes that will not count: (using XX as an example)

(XX)   [XX    XX]    {XX}    [X]    [xx]      ]XX[
