Most Powerful Empires - DOTJE (Updated)

+11

Intro

G'day everyone! Since the DOTJE series is finished after almost 2 years of glory, I've decided to update my list of strongest empires in the DOTJE universe and Age of JetPunk.

Today I'm going to go through the empires in Geopro's Dawn of the JetPunk Empires blog series and rank them according to strength/power from 20 to 1. Obviously this is my own opinion, so not exact, and I'll give a short explanation of my choice for the rankings. Thank you also to Geopro for helping in this collaboration and overlooking/amending the rankings. In this blog, alliances and other political relationships will not be considered, but besides that, it will be following the DOTJE storyline. Also I'm not including the Middle Earth Empire, because nothing is really known about them. I hope you enjoy!

23: People's Republic of Yemen

The People's Republic of Yemen is the newest and weakest country in the Age of JetPunk - only getting its independence from the Veggie Caliphate in the final peace treaty last episode. Led by Sultan Viniga's former right-hand man Ashan, Yemen is a poor country founded upon the assassinated Viniga's autocratic regime. We don't know much about Ashan's government or his plans, but maybe he'll be able to turn the country around and help its growth. Who knows?

22: Sawiwi -4

Moving down 4 spots in the rankings since last time (mostly due to the inclusion of more empires) Sawiwi hasn't really changed that much. It has neither gotten stronger nor weaker, and so it sits around the same level as some other weaker empires.

21: Apostolic Armenian Empire

The Apostolic Armenian Empire is arguably the most controversial empire in the history of the Age of JetPunk, and is led by arguably the most controversial character in the DOTJE universe - Yako/Nickelz. After losing power due to a scheme involving MiecraftMan and the STF, Yako has expertly risen up the ranks by way of manipulation and sneaky schemes in order to establish his own nation again. He claimed to have no more territorial ambitions than the land which the AAE controls, but has been noted saying some contradictory statements including: "I have a lot of devious plans... tehehehehe..." Perhaps his devious plans don't involve imperialism and territorial expansion, but then again, devious people with devious plans can rarely be trusted...

Yerevan

20: Korean Empire

Taking the place of now collapsed Republic of Carolina's, the Korean Empire is comprised of North and South Korea, which it gained from Chilefornia after its independence. The Korean Empire is led by dovewing, after his original Korean Empire was destroyed by Middle Earth after taking on the entire world. Now Korea is back, but likely not as strong as it could be in the future. The Korea's are strong country's in themselves, but perhaps the government and leadership needs improvement before Korea can capitalise on their potential.

19: Grande Empire

Led by a reborn Napoleon Bonaparte, the Grande Empire ranks 19th on my list. They have recently obtained a large portion of the Balkan Peninsula, so they have maintained their position at no.19. Another reason they rank this high is because they have Napoleon, one of the greatest military minds in history.

Napoleon Bonaparte

18: Svalbard

Svalbard is the New America of the Age of JetPunk. After we funded the collapse of the USA and Nauru took over, it was only a matter of time before the Yankees came back. And so, led by president Qy, Svalbard consists of the Norwegian archipelago with the same name, Liberia, and a bit of the remote far northern Canada. Founded on democracy and equal rights, and strongly against oppressive vegetarian rule, Svalbard comes in at 18 on this list.

17: Empire's Empire -1

After losing huge swaths of resource-rich Siberian land to the Imperium Sanctus, the Empire's Empire has shrunk by 1 ranking. It's true, Siberia doesn't have that much to offer when it's covered in permafrost and a few metres of snow, but underneath the harsh elements, are some extremely valuable ones.

16: Imperial Union +1

The Imperial Union has gone up 1 ranking after the EE went down. The IU gained Sao Tome and Principe, half of Iceland, and some of far north-west Canada, however they lost southern Chile. Not and overly imposing figure on the world stage, but certainly an empire that packs a punch.

15: Vampire Empire

The "Land of the 'V'", the Vampire Empire is comprised if Taiwan, and then a lot of other places that begin with the letter 'v'. Similar to the IU, the Vampire Empire controls territories all around the world, which again could be difficult to govern. The Vampire's have some rich countries and cities, but also some poor ones (like Venezuela). In the recent war, the Vampire's (known for their fierce fighting) had some huge successes, and some huge failed campaigns. Overall their power level is similar to when the first version of this blog was made. Although a global empire, the Vampire Empire ranks 15th on my list.

Taipei

14: British Isles Empire

The British Isles Empire is made up of the British Isles (surprise surprise) but also Britain's overseas territories, and a few other remote Arctic islands. Although the overseas territories don't contribute much to the empire's overall power, the main part (the British Isles themselves) make up for that. IN addition to this, the BIE recently acquired the Netherlands in the peace treaty, making them even stronger and more of an economical powerhouse. There is no doubt about it, the British Isles Empire is an extremely powerful empire!

Tower Bridge, London

13: GrandOldLand -6

GrandOldLand has suffered the biggest decline in rankings of all the empires. Still a powerful empire, GOL has lost much of its regional influence, and frankly lost a lot more in the peace treaty than it gained. Fair to say, GOL was screwed over, and this is reflected by their shrunken ranking.

12: Pacific Empire

The Pacific Empire, as its name suggests, is made up of thousands of Pacific islands, and many Pacific island nations. Although most are small and (with all due respect) insignificant to the empire's overall power, they control extremely valuable and powerful islands such as the Japanese and Filipino islands, and New Zealand's North Island. Not much has changed for the Pacific Empire since last version of the blog either (they gained Wellington), so they are pretty much the same.

11: Empire of the Minas Gerais

The "Land of the Sunrise", the Empire of the Minas Gerais, is a megadiverse sanctuary for most. Although they strongly oppose the STF (the Brazillian court system I think) who stage relentless attacks on the government, they still thrive besides this small civil unrest and conflict. The EMG's only got stronger after the peace treaty, gaining Paraguay, but finally handing over the Chobe NP to its rightful and historical owners. Controlling most of South America, along with French Polynesia, the EMG makes for a complete world powerhouse.

Santa Efigênia neighbourhood, Belo Horizonte

10: Blaze Empire

The Blaze Empire is comprised of mostly the Middle East and Central Asia. It has some extremely powerful countries like Iran, and it therefore boasts a large military, and possibly even nuclear arms. Like some others, the Blaze Empire hasn't changed too much. The Blaze Empire is firmly rooted upon the great 17-scoop ice cream that has rocked the DOTJE universe, and is undeniably a top 10 finisher.

Fire

9: Med-Atlantic Empire -3

The Med-Atlantic Empire spreads from the Mediterranean Sea across the Atlantic to the Americas. Still a great and powerful empire, but after violating treaties and non-aggression pacts, losing the war, and losing out in the peace treaty, the Med-Ats have gone down 3 rankings.

Tangier

8: Veggie Caliphate +5

The Veggie Caliphate has had the biggest growth on this out of all of the empires. It may seem questionable to have an empire from which 2 countries gained independence during the peace treaty this high, but there is reasoning. Yes the VC lost some land, but they gained a lot too. Once the VC is fully recovered from this war, they will no doubt continue to be one of the strongest countries. The VC was able to mostly hold off attacks from all fronts against many foes, as well as attacks from within as well. This certainly takes a whole lot of strength. Strength that has been displayed since last episode.

The humble broccoli, commonly found in the VC

7: Nauru Empire +1

The Nauru Empire has only gotten stronger since last episode. They lost Djibouti and Serbia, but gained some important U.S. states and some of the most valuable land in Canada. It has been a rollercoaster ride for them from the tiny island of Nauru, to owning America and more.

6: Chilefornia -3

Having gone down 3 ranks since last time, and at no.6, is Chilefornia. Chilefornia was unfortunate to lose the Koreas to dovewing, and even more devastating the highly strategic and advantageous territory of Sao Tome and Principe. They did gain the glacier-covered southern parts of Chile, but on a whole, they lost out as a result of the peace treaty.

Some condors

5: Imperium Sanctus +4

The Imperium Sanctus, led by cathlete, is the first country in the top 5 this time around. Spearheaded by the superpower of China (without a little bit of Tibet), The IS is indeed an incredibly strong country. Although the only territorial changes that occurred were losing Hainan, and gaining more of Siberia, the IS has gone up a lot since last time. This is because Siberia is filthy rich in natural resources, and although Hainan is a big loss, Siberia more than makes up for it. Additionally, the IS has shown its credentials by absolutely obliterating the Empire's Empire in their recent war.

The Great Wall of China

4: Macedonian Empire -2

The Macedonian Empire is next. The long awaited successor state of Alexander the Great's Empire, and led by tgig, VCP, and the RB's, the Macedonian Empire is still a powerhouse, despite its fall in the rankings. They lost heaps of valuable land at the peace treaty, although they also gained heaps as well. However, the Macedonian Empire struggled to hold its own against Napoleon and the Grande Empire, and struggled to keep the resurrected Alexander under control as well, and thus they have gone down to fourth - still an impressive ranking for any empire.

3: Palapyan-Botswana Empire +1

Coming in as the first Empire on the podium, and taking out the bronze medal, is the one and only PBE. The PBE is led by us QB's, and has only gotten stronger as a result of the peace treaty. The PBE was probably one of the major winners as a result of the treaty, and not only this, but the full display of our prestigious and globally dreaded Alpha Division was shown in all its fearful might, demolishing all enemies that stood in our way. Having gained more valuable land than it lost, and having such a booming economy, the PBE comes in at 3 in this 100% unbiased ranking system.

2: Great Southern Empire +3

Up 3 rankings from last time, and taking out the silver medal, is the GSE. Led by the creator and editor of the DOTJE universe, Geopro, the GSE is undoubtedly a top 3 finisher, and is making a real claim for top spot. Obviously not taking into account Geopro's ability to edit and veto the storyline of the Age of JetPunk, the GSE is still incredibly powerful. Despite being the only Empire not to participate in the War of the Worlds, the GSE was one of the major beneficiaries of the treaty they oversaw. Stretching over much of the the Southern Hemisphere, and having a strong army, navy and air force, and well as possessing the power of Captain Oz, the GSE is easily second on this list.

1: Greater Indian Empire

Still at rank no. 1, it's the Greater Indian Empire! There's no denying that the GIE is the strongest country in the world. With the largest military, biggest population, one of if not the highest GDP, the GIE is the world's main superpower. Known and feared throughout the world as the Great Tiger. The addition of Vietnam to the empire makes the nation even stronger, despite it losing places like Madagascar, Mozambique, and sadly Varanasi. The GIE is the Age of JetPunk's true superduperpower!

The Great Tiger has awoken...

Conclusion

In conclusion, thanks heaps for reading this blog, and I hope you all enjoyed it, and thanks to Geopro for collaborating with me and helping out with some difficult decisions. If you haven't read Geopro's blog series, then I don't know where you've been all this time, but of course, you can start now! And congratulations to all of the Emperors, especially to the utmostly honourable emperor Aficionado for raising up the world's most powerful empire!
