The JetPunk Legislative Election

Hey everyone.

I thought it would be fun to hold an election for the newly-invented JetPunk Legislature. The position holds no power, of course, but I imagine it would be fun to run. Here's how it works:

1. Candidates pick a party (note: real-world parties are discouraged, but not banned) and, optionally, a running mate.

2. Candidates register using the link at the end of blog.

3. Once voting starts, voters vote for their preferred candidate in all five regions, regardless of which one they live in.

4. The candidate with the most votes in their respective region takes a seat in the Upper House, and their running mate takes a seat in the Lower House.

5. Winning candidates enjoy their "fame" for a year, until another election is held.

United States West and Canada - Every U.S. state west of Texas, as well as Canada.

United States East - Every U.S. state east of Texas, as well as Texas itself.

South America - Central America, South America, Mexico, Antarctica, and the Caribbean.

Europe - Europe.

Asia, Africa, and Australia - Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

Voting itself will begin when each region has two candidates, or a week has passed, whichever comes latest.
