Dugongs and Manatees are NOT the same. The most obvious physical difference between the two is the tail. Manatee's have a flat, disk shaped tail whilst dugongs have a fluked tail that looks like a dolphin tail.

Hehe, I only knew the term for camel with one hump as I had a science assignment on it. I never knew that male duck actually had a term.

Mallard is not correct. It's a specific species, both male and female... and it doesn't start with 'd'.

You need to change the dinosaur description. The world is only about 10, 000 years old, not 65 million or 300 million.

But those who believe it also believe there was never any such thing as a dinosaur. So the question would have to be removed entirely.

HELLO ALL.

I think the reason why many you know a sea-cow to be a manatee is because that is an Atlantic/Caribbean creature, whereas the dugong is and Indo-Pacific creature.

Where I live I've only known dugongs and was excited to see this in the quiz.

I have never seen a dog (of any breed) in a fire station. Is it a US thing?
+1
Level 64

I guess, but historically, Dalmatians helped calm the Fire Horses down since they were used to horses. Also, dogs can sniff out people in the fire.

I've also never connected dogs of any sort with fire stations, and I'm a volunteer firefighter. I just guessed away at dog breeds that start with D, but I still didn't get it.

it takes 2 seconds to search what a dugong is, it's not that difficult. Just because you haven't heard of it in your country doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Although you were clearly looking for dragonfly, glad that damselfly is an acceptable type-in.

You need to give a better explanation for donkey, and I don't think "drake" was very appropriate since there must of been many more choices.

I thought "pack animal" meant an animal that is part of a pack - such as wolf. It's too ambiguous. You mean a beast of burden.

Doe is also a female rabbit, kangaroo and probably some others in addition to deer.
