Everyone's heard of Barstow. It's in movies. There's a song about it. I was CONVINCED it would be on here. I look it up there's only 23,000 people. Amazing how some cities make a name for themselves and yield little, while others grow to 1-200,000+ in silence and obscurity.

That's pretty good. I'd personally only expect foreigners to know Boston and Baltimore, maybe Buffalo.

Bremerton Washington is also a suburb of Seattle. Kept trying and it wouldn't take. It is directly across Puget Sound, there is a standard commuter ferry.

Bremerton is also tiny - less than 38,000 people. Bellevue is 6x as large.

I tried Bremerton first, too, then I remembered it was Bell-something, but never could get the right something.

You should add 2 more cities to the list because those two cities would be Bloomington, Indiana (82,575) Where IU is Bloomington, Illinois (78,902) 3 Bloomingtons in a row! XD

Really surprised that the home of IU isn't at least a 100k. Most towns with a major research university have that many now even if they aren't close to a major city.

Why do I have a feeling that the next two on the list would be Bloomington, Indiana, than Bloomington, Illinois.
