Agreed! I thought about that one first as well

As the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo is actually a capital on an island in the Indian ocean. Colombo does not 100% fits in that description, since Kotte is the actual capital of Sri Lanka.

also isn't Colombo no longer the capital of Sri Lanka?

Depends who you ask. Technically it's "Sri Ja.... Kotte" (not going to try to spell it), which is a suburb of Colombo. So the question should probably be reworded, but Colombo isn't 100% wrong.

Yes, this is a long-standing point of contention on JetPunk, but our Quizmaster has generally favored "Kotte" as the capital of Sri Lanka rather than Colombo.

Not to pile on, but given Kotte is the accepted Sri Lankan capital on other quizzes, and because Antananarivo also fits that clue, it should really be changed.

Got several by just guessing cities for other clues. Haven't had the same problem as much with the other "cities that end with" quizzes. This one would benefit from a yellow box though.

You should add Santiago, Chile as an answer since it is pretty major and I got it confused with the Quito question.

I guessed Santiago first, too. That being said, it does not quite fit the clue; according to Wikipedia "Most of the city lies between 500 m (1,640 ft) and 650 m (2,133 ft) above mean sea level."

I'm surprised it's called a "major" American city. It's not a backwater outpost, but it comes in ranking 54th in GDP by metro area. To me, that's more of a AAA team than one that's playing in the big league.

Who cares about the population? They're famous for taking a cheap cut of chicken and turning it into one of the most expensive. Buffalo wings...yum.

I'd suggest accepting 'Bilbo' as well for Bilbao given that it is the city's name in the Basque language.

Funny to see that the two most guessed is the two that also starts with an o. I guess that it is how the human brain thinks.

For 'Andean capital' I kept retyping Cusco and was wondering why none of the spellings I was trying were working. Time to go to bed...
