It may not be the best answer, but it is an answer. I first attempted "petty" because it's a cognate, it fits the brief of the quiz, and it is a correct response. Other quizzes allow multiple answers for questions that have multiple correct answers, so I'd encourage you to do the same here.

Not surprised to see that Poinsettia are exclusively a North American tradition due to a marketing campaign. (see the Culture section on its Wiki page)

Maybe the clue should be adjusted. Holly and Mistletoe are more traditional christmas foliage.
