Surprised at some of the low numbers - especially for Fort Sumter and the 1st Continental Congress. Perhaps a lot of those numbers are people not in the US...

I’m surprised that the one about John Scopes is 90%. I never knew so many people here knew about him.

The so-called "Scopes Monkey Trial" was hugely publicized, and is a well-known event in early 20th century US History.

I got the Continental Congress one wrong because, although I knew the Continental Congress was in Philadelphia, I was thrown by the mention "first" and by the date. I thought it might be a trick question, and there might have been a second, more famous Continental Congress, that later moved to Philadelphia.

Also, not everyone on this page is from the US. A lot of these events are a looooot less relevant to other parts of the world!

Driving east on I-70 toward Truckee there's a sign telling you that the Donner Family Picnic Area is coming up. I always think of finger food as I pass it.
