Firstly, I would like to thank Simon1006 for figuring out how to do this and Stewart for helping with the CSS. Without them, this quiz would not have been possible to make.
The quiz has 51 possible mystery countries - or 9,996 answers in total. More than 51 possible mystery countries would, unfortunately, exceed the 10,000 answer limit. :(
Also, due to the way this quiz is set up, we had to remove the answer cells. Sorry colorblind people
The series has officially ended since no sequels need to be made. We hope you enjoyed the series! :)

to those of you who are saying that this quiz's concept was copied from Globle: this quiz was released months before Globle and even Wordle came out, lol.
My country was Kiribati, and the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, and Russia were all bright red for it. That covers like 2/3 of the Earth. What gives?
As I commented on a similar quiz, I don't think the shades of red work all that well. I'd like to see one where there are multiple colors so it's easier to tell the difference between hot and cold.
On my first attempt, I did China, Russia, UK, Morocco. Morocco was pretty red, so I tried Sao Tome & Principe. That was it... 5/5 in 15 seconds! That'll never happen again :)
I love quizzes like this! I like that this one is randomized, it makes it so fun!
My only criticism is that the colors all look the same so my guesses weren't all that helpful. Could there be an edit to make for more of a spectrum? From blue/green to red?
*sigh* I realized very soon that it was a European country, but couldn't get it in time because there are just that many small countries (in the Balkan).
my strategy is do usa (if its really close its most likely in north america or south america), brazil (really close somewhere in central, carribean, or south america, or the west coast of africa, chad, nigeria, russia, china, india, australia to try to catch any pacific islands, and yeah
OMG i did Finland and got a red, then tried Russia and it was better, did China and Kazakhstan and found out it was in Europe, Tried Ukraine then Belarus, realized i needed to go south, then Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, before realizing that time was up and it was Albania.
Good game, I just think it would be slightly better if the countries' closeness was only based on what we see on the map, rather to their true closeness on our planet. Example: guessing South Korea shows that it is close to both russia and all those eastern asian countries, but also the United States, and all of those North American countries.
OK, speak up, Globle creator. Who are you? We know you're on this site. What's your username? How dare you take a JetPunk idea and turn it into your own product?
I love this quiz. I play it often. However the last four times it has been Slovakia every time - I now have a record time of 0 seconds. I wonder how it could be more... evenly randomized, if that's not too much of an oxymoron.
Yeah the randomizer on JP isn't perfect and sometimes gives you the same mystery country more than once. The maximum number of mystery countries possible are present in this quiz, so I am sorry that I cannot fix this
I have an idea how it happened. Each time you had a 1/51 percent chance of having Peru. Which I believe is a 0.0004 percent chance that you get it twice in a row. Not probable, but definitely possible.
can you exclude the lesser antilles from the possible answers? i got st vincent and the grenadines and it ended up being "name lesser antilles countries until you find it"
Weird. I finished in 10 guesses and scored just 10/196 and 5%. Seems like it expected me to type all 196 countries regardless what shade of pink they were.
I won with Albania, but Libya did not light up when i guessed it (obviously it wasn't the right answer but still), also after the quiz Pakistan and Ethiopia do not show up, they are just empty black space
For a few people a few countries do not show up, I've looked into this quite a bit but I cannot explain or reproduce it, meaning we unfortunately also cannot fix it, sorry
Is there really not a way to remove the issue with the missing countries like Libya and Ethiopia? Like this quiz could potentially be one of the best ones here if that issue was resolved in my opinion.
When you complete the quiz and tap on the mystery country, it just says “Mystery Country” even though you’ve already completed the quiz so wouldn’t you want to know what the country was after the quiz.
It's a fun idea, but it just never works for me. I just did one where the country was Russia, and China (a neighbor) was light pink, while Sudan was bright red. Something is still not right here...

Also, more rings around countries that are too small to be seen have been added.
Thailand
Why not a big one?
On my 77th try it was the Vatican
Really?
Somehow it was Monaco
It seems like a third of the globe appears as red when you're close to the target.
Mine was St Vincent and the Grenadines. 1 second left!
fewest countries to guess: 4
this is my favorite quiz on the site, amazing job.
My only criticism is that the colors all look the same so my guesses weren't all that helpful. Could there be an edit to make for more of a spectrum? From blue/green to red?
yay
I usually start with writing the biggest ones, far way away from each other, like USA, India, Brazil, South Africa...etc
End, 0:01
I believe the word you're looking for is quasirandom?
I scored 100% in 13 seconds for 5 / 5 points
