There is an Italian car maker by the name "Fiat" but I guess it's not as famous and that they may not make sport cars.

My first guess was also Fiat, though Ferrari does seem the more obvious in hindsight. Still, I'd vote to either accept Fiat, or change the clue to be more specific.

No, the clue is fine, it clearly states sports car make. Ferrari is famous for sports cars where as fiat is famous for small cheap family cars.

I don't think Fiat makes anything that could be considered a sports car. And I certainly would never consider Fiat a "sports car maker".

Actually, Fiat makes Ferraris, but I agree that Ferrari is the better answer.

@Symmetrik, Fiat's Spider series have always been sports cars. I agree that Ferrari is the better answer, but Fiat also fits the bill.

Fiat has resumed building the Fiat 124, a sports car. I agree, however, that Ferrari is far more famous for building sports cars.

FIAT does make sports cars. Maybe make the question less ambiguous - 'Italian manufacturer of famously red sports cars' would suggest Ferrarri.

Back when I was looking to buy my first car (1980 or so), Fiat had two cars in the US market that were both definite sports cars (Spider and X1/9). I test frove both of them. Little did I know about insurance, and how expensive it would be to insure either of them as a 20 year old single male (50% more than my car payment). I couldn't swing it (enlisted guy in USAF) - and ended up buying a safe, non-speed-demon Mazda 626. :-) Fiat was absolutely the answer that came to my head first (before Ferrari). First impressions and all...

31st century tv show? What?

Jan 31, 2017
Yea, it's one of those you probably need to have watched the show to get - although there is a kinda clue in the show title. If you've not heard of it, Futurama is an animated TV show made by the same guy who created the Simpsons. It is set in the future, the 31st Century, and the place it is set in is called New New York (yes, 2 'New's), which might be handy if you come across a question on that in another quiz

Alexandre is correct, it's just his spelling that's the problem. He meant to say there's no effing Malvinas. Quite right.
