Yeah I agree, I think it should just be consistent. And it probably didn't help many people since the pool of people who've only read the books is surely fairly low. If you're into the books enough to know Irene Adler you'll probably have watched it. And yeah it's the same situation with Igor and Frankenstein.

I'm assuming it's because the picture they use for Irene Adler is just a headshot of an actress, whereas Igor's is directly from Young Frankenstein and of the character? I don't think there should be any hint for her though.

Because Igor is currently at 49% and Irene Adler is at 23%, even with the hint? Igor is a much more visually distinctive character. Even if you've only seen Young Frankenstein once you could probably recognize him years later, because what other character looks anything like that? Even if you just have a passing familiarity with classic Frankenstein movies, you can probably guess who the character probably is based on the distinctive look. Meanwhile, Irene Adler looks like she could be any beautiful, well-dressed, modern-day woman, so unless you are fairly familiar with that particular adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes stories you'd likely never guess it without the hint, and even with the hint you'd probably only get it if you're already pretty familiar with the stories.
