Agreed! T2 + Aliens = double feature magic. Both feature strong female-read protagonists (Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver respectively), canny kids (Carrie Henn as Newt and Edward Furlong as John Connor), and Michael Biehn as a beautiful side-kick. Oh, and both are directed by James Cameron (I don't like all Cameron's work, but these films are pure entertainment). I do prefer Aliens to T2 though -- I think its finale has aged better than T2's, and it does a better job of suspense and world-building overall.
T2 is in my opinion pretty much a perfect action movie. Ed Furlong comes off a bit cringey sometimes but that's just an artifact of the film being made in the early 90's, and it's a very small part of the film. It's my favorite film ever and I can never get tired of it.
The reason for this is that the movie commonly referred to as "Rambo" is actually "First Blood", hence the sequel being "Rambo: First Blood part II", ironically the third installment is named "Rambo III" and the most recent film min the franchise is actually "Rambo".
Dodgeball subtitle would have made more sense if they had stuck with the original ending, where Average Joe's lost the final game and ended up with nothing. Now there's a true underdog story!
But they changed it to a happy ending because the original tested poorly. Personally I think they made the right decision.
What does winning or loosing at the end have to do with being a TRUE underdog? I would say being the underdog depends on the starting conditions only, the outcome is irrelevant.
When I saw the title of this one I thought it meant subtitles as in captions displayed on the bottom of the screen, translating dialogue of a foreign film. It took me a minute to change gears.
Okay, I don't know anything about Rambo. Don't even know what it is. But they had a movie called First Blood Part II?! That'd be Second Blood, mate.
