20/22. Over to Top is clearly the best Arm Wrestling movie of all time. It is to arm wrestling what Harry Potter is to Quidditch, both movies similarly good about similarly relevant sports.
What about Invictus for rugby?

Not much hope of guessing "Quidditch" correctly if you're not a teacher or a person who's under a certain age.

I got it without ever watching a Harry Potter film (or reading one of the books)

Not that much hope of guessing if you haven't heard of the film before. That's kind of the point, if the quiz only gave you questions everyone knew it'd be pointless.

should probably make this quiz have the yellow box. Otherwise you can get over half of them just guessing random sports.

I agree, technically... another part of me thinks it is fine like this or I would ve gotten less haha

But everyone plays for themselves, I dont start and randomly type things, I am my own yellow box, and only answers the ones I know first. Then try to think hard if anything rings a bell or if there is a clue in the title. And only when there has been a long while of nothing coming to me I start random guessing. (I guess similarly to if there would be a yellow box, then I would guess too for the last ones I dont know, it is just a bit more laborious)

Okay, you can argue about whether or not cheerleading is a sport all day; doesn't bother me (I was in marching band, so....). But Bring it On is a fabulous movie, and I will defend that without shame!

football for soccer?

Feb 22, 2016
If you don't accept "football" for "soccer", you should require "american football" too. The way it is now is skewed and nonsensical.

Feb 22, 2016
We'll accept football for soccer now. I used to have a caveat about using the American name for the sport, but I guess I took it off. We're trying to make the site less U.S. centric.

Having (mostly) american answers is just fine. As long as it isnt portrayed any differently/misleading. Like "most famous brands in the world" and only showing american brands/going by american data, instead of international.

How can cheerleading be a sport when the sole function is to cheer other sports
+2
level 75
Jul 4, 2016
That's not its only function. The definition of a sport is an activity which requires skill, physical exertion, and competition. Competitive cheerleading fits the definition, and several groups are attempting to get the NCAA to declare competitive cheerleading an official sport.

I thought the cheerleaders were the prizes for the winning team to take home.
+1
level 65
Mar 27, 2018
Competitive cheer doesn't have that much to do with the sort of cheerleading that you see at football and basketball games. It's much more like group gymnastics / aerobatics, there's not a lot of actual "cheering" in the competitions.
