The Spice Girls song will be stuck in my head all day, but I couldn't remember the title to save myself. Also tried every iteration of Kissed by a Rose, etc., except the correct one.

Unfortunately for us in the UK, The Spice Girls had many more number ones. Far too many more. *sighs*

I tried every version of Sk8er Boi I could think of, only to find out, guess what? THE PRICE IS WRONG, BOB!
Level 30
Aug 4, 2015
I was trying Complicated and Sk8er Boi. I'm surprised it wasn't one of those. Girlfriend is such a fluffy, generic song.

I'm shocked that out of all the Aerosmith songs that was the one that went number 1
Level 30

Yes, Dream On and Walk This Way are definitely #1 worthy, and in the all-inclusive pop charts of the 70s both should have went to #1.
Level 60

Yeah, especially since I never heard of it!

When did that come out?

I could have sworn I entered Coolio's correctly. Tried it a couple of times. No luck. Well at least I new that one. Missed Sinead O'Connor, Bonnie Tyler and Coldplay. Shocked to see some of these only had one #1 like Guns N' Rose, The Police, and Aerosmith.

Couldn't believe Rosanna didn't make it to #1, but after looking it up I saw that it stayed at #2 for several weeks behind Eye of the Tiger.

Abba only had one in the States? had about 9 over here
Level 54

I thought the Sinead O'Connor song (after failing on 'Troy') was called 'Nothin' compares 2U'

So many long song titles on this one. Thanks for allowing partials.

Missed some because of the damn prepositions/articles. Kiss for a rose? And Eye of a Tiger? Yeah I knew what song was meant. Duh.

Only one of Coldplay's songs hit #1 in the US?? How can that be?
Level 73

Maybe Americans have some taste after all

Yes, how can that be? Surely there are many new ones that make the cut!

because they are rubbish.

A lot of those seem to be connected to movies (Survivor, Aerosmith, Coolio...) or commercials (the Coldplay song was in an Apple commercial for a long time (at least in Europe)).

Must be a lot of old people taking this quiz for Girlfriend to be the most obscure answer.

Lol, I got Ricky Martin when I was trying to get Coldplay. :D
Level 83

Yes, Amadeus, rock me. Better than having to listen to those horrible Meatloaf songs.

wow several of these bands have had more than 1 number 1 ... i tried about 4 police songs but didn't manage to get it before the time ran out...

Can’t believe some of these artists have only had one no1 in the US. Coldplay, ABBA, Spice Girls, The Police, all had loads of chart toppers in the uk.

oh man... I knew the Bonnie Tyler song but got the name wrong. And for Avril Lavigne I typed in "boyfriend", whoops.

I just played all of them on youtube and found out most of them are the sort of familiar songs you don't know the name of.
