What are the units of production here? "bbl/person" doesn't make sense - it would need to include the relevant time period, eg "bbl/person/month".

It's not that they produce the most oil. The gulf countries easily surpass Norway, but it's because its population is so small for the amount it produces.

Not necessarily true. Norway, although it has a small population compared to most of the world, has a larger population when compared to some gulf countries, notably Qatar and Kuwait. As well, using that logic, you could say that nearly all of these countries are on here for low population but high oil production, seeing as none of them except Saudi Arabia and Canada have a population higher than 30 million or so. Norway just has a lot of oil.

Equatorial Guinea?

It has a small population and a lot of oil. Because of its oil wealth, in some years it will rank very high in per capita income (measured on a ppp basis). Sadly, most of the wealth is concentrated in the hands of its dictator and his family.

I don't know much about this personally, but I've noticed on other quizzes, kal has said that Bahrain was one of the first to develop oil fields. Given that Bahrain is also a small country that may not have access to as many oil reserves as its neighbors, they ran out pretty quickly, so they don't really export much of anything anymore.

The only reason I got Equatorial Guinea was GeographyNow... and even then I forgot about Brunei!

Brunei, the oil rich guy! Bru, bru, bru, bru, Brunei the oil rich guy!
