Got so excited on my 5th try or so because I blew threw the first 17 (my high score)...then with even almost a minute left, the last 3 left me stumped. Fiddlesticks.
It's random, so with only a few letters, it's possible that it will more likely spell out the name correctly (vis-à-vis a longer name, although that's possible as well).
I actually do agree with this, but that is because I have Teheran stuck in my head due to the Atlanta Braves starting pitcher, Julio Teheran. So, those who are Braves fans may also get mixed up with it. Now, I do understand that last names of baseball players doesn't count as to accept an incorrect spelling of a word.
Wasted a lot of time stumped on "Tarawa"... stupid Kiribati... I'll have me revenge when my gas guzzling car sends your island nation below the Pacific..
Got all in 15th try!
My winnig set: Ljubljana, Tokyo, Skopje, Harare, Niamey, London, Asmara, Juba, Baku, Luxembourg, Zagreb, Moroni, Tegucigalpa, Apia, Kiev, Dublin, Antananarivo, Dushanbe, Luanda, Damascus
Finally! - awesome quiz my favorite in while.
I was getting down to the last one or two for a while, but found it helpful to type in the letters in a different order for a fresh perspective.
When you're stumped until you give up and you know you should have known the answer, you just want to kick yourself. I, for example, missed Riga when I've known that for, let's say, 3 years. And I'm 12!!!
Yes! Finally! After playing this on my lunch break for days, I got 20/20. Now that I've learned some of the more obscure capitals, I have to go look up where they are.
I enjoy this quiz very much and usually get all the answers. I find the font is very difficult - r n looks like m and l looks like i, for example.
Could it be re-cast in a more distinctive font?
I have to agree - sans serif fonts are much harder to read than serif fonts. Making the text bigger in my browser is a pain most of the time since I watch movies while I do quizzes. #woeisme
Same here, except I finally managed a score of 10/20. Oogadoogou, Ougadougu, Oagudougu, bah. At least on this one the spelling police should be happy. It only accepts exact spellings due to the nature of the quiz.
Okay, folks, we get it that sometimes a 4 or 5 letter capitol randomly comes up in the right order. Get back to us when you get 'Yamoussoukro' coming up randomly as 'Yamoussoukro'.
Had 19 on first try. Got stumped by "Gitega", which I've never heard before. Turns out it had replaced Bujumbura as the capital of Burundi in December 2018 only. D'oh!
After a while, I finally completed this quiz. But it still says I have a high score of 19. I'm quite confused now. Is there any way this could be fixed?
