For each continent and described reason, try guess which countries have an alternative official name than the normal reference.
Simple annotations like federative, republic, kingdom etc. do not automatically qualify for this quiz because this would include nearly every country on earth.
All except one are almost fully recognized by the UN

Wikipedia says that Holy See, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and the Netherlands are not the official names. Plus you're missing the Kingdom of eSwatini.

The vatican/holy see is indeed a bit of a weird one but as far as I can make out it is the holy see that is considered that the governmental body is internationally connected to the term Holy See but it's ambassadors are attributed to Vatican City. I choose the former definition of a state. As for FYROM, the same principle applies since NATO and the UN think it is that name in order not to piss of Greece. As for the Netherlands, that oversight (which would also have been a correct type-in) is to contrast it with the more often used ' Holland'. And eSwatini is now added under it's official name.
