Names of U.S. Cities At the Time of Their Settlement

Most people know that Yerba Buena was the name of the original European settlement where San Francisco is now, and of course things like Ranchos de Alburquerque and Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles de Porciúncula are obvious. But can you guess these 15 others? Note that we're looking for the name given by the first Europeans to establish a permanent settlement, NOT necessarily the name of the town at its founding.

I corrected all the geography to the apparent "correct" answer. Everything that you put in was a second or third option to the question. The answer that is shown on screen just happened to be the first one that came to mind. I am not expecting this to be perfect, as it is just for fun and testing knowledge. Thank you for your input.

Tough quiz. Got a couple through deduction and a couple more by guessing, but don't think I've ever actually heard any of these names.
