Elan- I typed in Malcolm X but it wouldn't take it, there are definitely better people for Q, V, and O. Also, there are too many sports and TV people- this is a historical figures quiz, try to keep that in mind.

With Genghis Khan, I think the Khan is title, not surname.

You're right: Khan means emperor. However, the quiz states the answers are the names for which each person was best known.
