The territories of the Olmecs and Maya overlapped.

11. Calendars

21st December 2012 occurred at the same time as the end of one baktun (a certain length of time) of the Maya calendar. The next baktun followed after this. This was misinterpreted to mean the end of the Maya calendar.

The capital of Azerbaijan shares its name with a legendary creature.
It is actually one example of a mythological black dog, which are spectral or demonic entities found in folklore, primarily that of the British Isles. The third creature of Jewish mythology was the Ziz. It was a giant bird, so it inhabited the air, as opposed to the Behemoth (of the land) and the Leviathan (of the sea). Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is also the name of a Japanese supernatural creature that devours dreams.

The first recorded case occurred on 17th August 1896. Cadillac was founded in 1902, while Ford was founded in 1903. Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot created a steam-powered vehicle, called the "Fardier à vapeur", in 1769.
