I don't recognise the pronounciation of "Madrid". Seems to be missing tha "R", which is not a common Spanish habit.

The idea is that Madrid has a tapped r and a very soft d: because of that I wasn't convinced by mud REETH, and decided to ditch the soft d and depict the r with an American tapped d: the more I repeated muddo EETH out loud the more I thought it sounded right.

I do agree though that's it's confusing if you're not expecting a tapped r, and more importantly it's not consistent to have a special treatment for this one r when no attempts are made to get closer to the other r sounds here. I'll think about it.
