Nice quiz! Surprised to see tiny Oceania countries on here but not big ones like Brazil.

They're big in terms of ocean expanse I guess.

Coral grows (best) in warm water, and coral reefs in shallow, clear water (so it gets sun). So it's more a function of proximity to the right growing conditions than it is to total length of coastline.

Yeah I was less surprised about Oceania and more surprised that some African / Middle Eastern countries beat out Brazil, Chile, Mexico, etc.

The north African/Arabian areas surprised me. Never thought about the Red Sea having reefs.

Given it's underwater.......can't help thinking of Aquaba instead of Aqaba. xD

The Red see is beautiful for reefs. Great snorkelling and the bluest waters.

Completely failed to take overseas territories into account. Still, managed 15/20, I'm fairly happy with that.

I always thought Belize was known for its coral reef, but I guess it's not very large.

Bit surprising that Belize is considered to have the second largest coral reef in the world but doesn't make the top 20 in terms of overall reef square mileage

Missed only Tanzania and Eritrea. Great quiz.

I feel like as a Queenslander, if there's one thing we should know its coral. Pretty much the main reason anyone comes here - the Great Barrier Reef. Managed to get them all in the end with about 30 seconds remaining. I was stuck for a while, but Egypt was a breakthrough and gave me Eritrea and Saudi Arabia.

Ugh, looks like you're right. Gotta find a working source or link to an archived version. Thanks for pointing it out.
