While certain elections are a lock for one party or another, some elections are not. With the first letter of the state, and the ratings of the race, can you name these competitive states in 2022?
"Competitive" in this quiz means that at least one group considers the race not "Solid" or "Likely" for one party.
Yeah. I was pretty shocked too. The only reason I could think of is that the incumbent is retiring, and that Oregon is only like a D+7 or so state. But yeah, very weird.
Personally, I think that New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Maine could all flip to the GOP (note COULD). Meanwhile, the democrats could get many of those seats and in addition, they also look primed to pick up Maryland and Massachusetts. Alaska also may be competitive as long as Bill Walker gets into the general as opposed to Les Gara and because of incumbent GOP governor Dunleavy's unpopularity and Bill Walker's moderate ideology and experience as governor from 2014-2018, democrats could very well win Alaska.
